Saturday 26.04.2025 | 1-3.45pm
Location: Abney Park Community Room, Stoke Newington High Street, N16 0LH
We will host a session taking you through traditional embroidery techniques and using swatch fabrics to create appliqué designs on your shirts.
We took a trip to the TRAID warehouse to collect a selection of shirts that we laundered ready to be upcycled.
Historically, appliqué originated as a practical method for repairing and reinforcing worn fabrics, evolving into a decorative art form.
