Education

We are passionate about sustainable and eco-education and have developed masterclasses & workshops for a range of clients from Soho House to Victoria & Albert Museum for different stakeholders including young people, members of the public and creative professionals. We teach traditional textile skills and engaging with innovative new processes. We have developed cutting-edge engagement for our clients.

Everything from bio-textile printing, bio-embellishment production, biomaterial exploration, upcycling with textile waste, food-waste ink painting and many more. We can custom design a workshop to suit your needs. Additionally we also are available to host inspiration talks

Soho House

We regularly deliver masterclasses on a range of material, textile and fashion techniques to Soho House & Soho Friends members.

Raeburn

During the What’s In My Home? Exhibition we were commissioned by Raeburn to deliver innovative workshops at The Lab E20.

Project Everyone

Project Everyone, a United Nations Global Partner for SDG Advocacy and Outreach, seeks to put the power of communications behind the Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals. We were invited to deliver a team-building upcycling workshop using deadstock designer fabrics.

Somerset House

We were invited to Makerversity to deliver a bio-print & embellishment workshop for 15 fashion residents. We demonstrated techniques to use seaweed and algae biomaterials and inks to paint and create with.

Size? X Sneakers N Houseplants

We hosted a special edition workshop where Size? donated deadstock trainers for our young participants to upcycle. We partnered with Sneakers N Houseplants who co-hosted this interactive textile masterclass where young people could design and keep their own trainers!

Victoria & Albert Museum

We have delivered multiple masterclasses at the Victoria and Albert Museum on biomaterials and innovative textile processes.

Bute House Prep School Stem Week

We were invited by Bute House Preparatory School to host an interactive workshop to several Year 6 classes. These workshops were focused on demonstrating process to produce innovative materials during STEM week.

London Craft Week x Mills Fabrica

We hosted a special workshop at the iconic Mills Fabrica in London to experiment with producing embellishments and sequins made from a range of biopolymers and natural pigments. Create gels that are formed into shape in our handmade moulds, before learning stitch techniques to apply the new embellishments onto a unique embroidered design.

London College of Fashion x Milano Fashion Institute

We were invited to host a special collaborative creative brief between two Masters classes at London College of Fashion and Milano Fashion Institute on the theme of Regenerative Design Principles. We mentored and guided groups to rapidly develop new approaches to designing fashion systems using regenerative practices.

Prince's Trust x Makerversity

With Makerversity partnering with the Princes Trust since 2014 delivering week long workshops for 18-25 year olds who aren’t in work or education and have an interest in design and making. We were invited to deliver workshops for the past few years with a focus on sustainability.

Sustainable Fashion Factory

Supported by Spotlight Youth Centre and Foundation for Future London grant we delivered a series of workshops to engage young people in sustainable fashion and help arm them with the tools and skills to build a portfolio of sustainable work. We had a number of creative collaborators including textile designers, photographers and fashion designers. We were grateful to have also received support from The Salvation Army for the materials for workshops.
